If you think an ice cream cart is just for birthday parties and weddings, I’m here to change your mind!! We recently had the sweetest time sponsoring the grand opening ribbon cutting for Studio B, a gorgeous new photography studio in Fort Myers, and it was the perfect example of how ice cream cart catering brightens up events at local businesses.
About the Event
Studio B is a photography studio that doubles as a creative rental space, reopening summer 2026 under new ownership – Elyssa Bloom of Bloom Digital Creatives! The space is wonderful for all sorts of creatives (from photographers looking for studio space to creatives looking to rent a space for their next big event!) so I was super excited to check it out for myself!
This grand opening event was held on Friday, July 17th and invited the Estero Chamber of Commerce to host the ribbon cutting as well as dozens of other local businesses to check out the space for themselves! There were a wide variety of vendors, from a mobile bar service to a local restaurant serving treats to of course, ya know, the ice cream cart!
I had a blast with our Fort Myers Ice Cream Cart getting to know local business owners, meeting the board of the Estero Chamber of Commerce, and of course, serving up some of the best ice cream in Southwest Florida (me? biased? nah).
The Highlight of the Evening: Quick Photo Shoot!
One super fun part of the grand opening of Studio B was the complimentary photos they took in the studio! I got to watch several guests and business owners step up for premium quality photos by the one and only Ashley Fleming Media, and they were truly STUNNING!
Eventually I got up the courage to ask – “would it be okay if I got photos done too?” – and Ashley was so kind to give a resounding yes!! So I rolled my little ice cream cart over for headshots and I’m SOOO glad I did because LOOK HOW STUNNING!! I am absolutely obsessed.
Bringing the Cart Indoors for Studio B
One of the best parts about our ice cream cart? It is SO dang versatile! Indoors or outdoors, spaces large and small, power available or not, we can do just about all of them!
Something we don’t always advertise is that we can actually disassemble and reassemble our ice cream cart to fit through narrow doorways and walkways, so we truly can go ANYWHERE! As it would happen, that is exactly what we did for this event. For many businesses, their double doors make it so that we can easily maneuver the cart inside with no extra hassle. However, some like Studio B just have a narrow single door, so disassembling and reassembling the ice cream cart makes that possible. And of course, once we’re inside, the slight amount of extra work makes it alllll worth it to not be in the sweltering SWFL summer heat!!
(Side note: if your venue is indoors and you have a single doorway to your business, we can still make it inside and often even prefer it that way!! You won’t catch us complaining about soaking up the AC!!)
We Pre-Scooped, and Here’s Why
When you’ve been in the ice cream business a while, you learn that there are certain events that just make sense to pre-scoop for! These are the events what move extra fast and there’s no way to get around it (100 people need ice cream in 15 minutes kind of fast!), or where you really just won’t have a lot of space for your extra supplies. In both of these cases, we recommend that businesses have us pre-scoop our ice cream into cups with lids before their big event.
This is exactly what we did for the Studio B Grand Opening! We anticipated that this event would be ultrafast with minimal space for our cart, so when guests arrived and asked for their ice cream, there was no extra hassle or waiting! They could walk right up and receive their pre-scooped ice cream quickly.
